Gas bottles can be recycled. Many recycling centres in your area will accept them. Certain suppliers of gas bottles will require you to return them directly, and may provide cash for doing so. Most suppliers of gas products will be happy to accept the gas bottles back for no charge. They can refurbish and refill the containers for reuse. Before disposing of a gas bottle call the company that supplied it and see if they would like it back, otherwise check with your local authority for further information. Many places throughout the UK now offer the convenience of a ‘Swap & Go’ Gas Bottle exchange.
